Tristen Sargent: Sensory Seen
Accommodating a space for individuals with learning disabilities should be just as necessary as those with physical disabilities. Sensory “Seen” creates a space of respite and inclusion that positively impacts a person with sensory sensitivity. This is a collection of home textile products that are not only soothing to the eye but also to the touch. The feel of fabric affects those on the Autism spectrum in different ways, and these products allow some to cope and find a sense of calmness. The color palette consists of soft and neutral tones and reflects the symbol of Autism awareness. Although this collection is inspired by improving the lives of those with Autism, these textile products can be beneficial to those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or those seeking a comforting experience.
