Everything you need to know about the FTD Emerging Designers Showcase
Collections developed by graduating fashion and textile design (FTD) students at NC State’s Wilson College of Textiles will make their debut this April during the FTD Emerging Designers Showcase.
Seniors spend an entire semester developing collections specific to their concentration during their capstone course. Fashion design students will send collections down the runway in a show complete with stage lighting, a live stream and professional photography.

Textile design students will showcase their collections, ranging from textile samples to fiber art installations, in custom display booths.
When is it?
Textile Design Showcase
- Showcase Opening: Sunday, April 19, 2026, 3-5 p.m.
- Gallery Space Open: Monday to Wednesday, April 20-22, 2026, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fashion Design Runway Show
- Saturday, April 25, 2026, Doors open at 6:30 p.m., Event starts at 7 p.m.
How much are tickets and where can I get them?
Tickets to the Fashion Design Runway Show will be available soon! The Textile Design Showcase is free.
Are there discounts?
There will be an early bird discount when tickets launch.
What’s the refund policy?
Tickets are nonrefundable.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?
Unused tickets are transferable.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
It is ok if the name on the ticket doesn’t match the attendee’s name, but a student ID must be shown to enter with a student ticket, regardless of the name on the ticket.
Where is it and where do I park?
The Textile Design Showcase will be held in Room 2225 in the Textiles Complex on NC State’s Centennial Campus: 1020 Main Campus Drive, Raleigh.
- Parking is free on the weekends. Be mindful of reserved parking spots.
- Permits are enforced Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in faculty/staff, commuter areas and visitor parking locations. Visitors should use one of the designated visitor pay lots throughout campus. Hourly rates apply.
The Fashion Design Runway Show will take place in the Piedmont / Mountains Ballroom at NC State’s Talley Student Union.
Where can I sit?
Seating for the fashion show is first come first serve. Some sections are reserved for media, special VIP guests, and college leadership; reserved seats will be indicated with signs.
What can I bring into the event?
Feel free to bring cameras and to share your experience on social media. Please tag @NCStateWilson so we can share your posts!
Will the event be live streamed?
The runway show will be streamed and available to play back afterwards. There will not be any live-streamed coverage of the textile design gallery exhibit, so be sure you visit the showcase April 19-22!
Are these designs for sale?
The decision of whether or not to sell apparel and textile designs is specific to each designer. Sales are not overseen or processed through the university in any way.
