Marisa Pridgen: REWILD

My collection was inspired by natureesque landscapes and the feeling of serenity. Serenity is defined as the state of being calm, peaceful and untroubled. Everyone has their place they go to get away. For me, nothing gives me a breath of fresh air like immersing myself in nature. I constantly have the urge to travel and explore somewhere new. I am particularly fascinated by desert landscapes because of the blend between the bold colors of the canyons, pastel colors in the sky, and all of the colors in between. For this collection, I combined feminine and fluid silhouettes, designing versatile pieces that can be worn in more ways than one. I hand dyed most of my fabrics to achieve more natural, earthy tones and derived my color palette directly from nature.
