Margaret Shinn: Elle’s Place
Elle’s Place is named for Elle, the truck that carried me through South America for two months. She was a physical representation of the global creative community of her passengers, and that spirit lives on in my collection. The narrative of my personal experience is hidden in these fabrics, in the textile storytelling traditions of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Soft lines create subtle movement, and a mix of jewel and earth tones ground the space in nature. Elle’s Place will be a space for wandering hearts to rest and collaborate.
