Lemmy Truppi: Bad Reputation

Bad Reputation is inspired by Joan Jett- the original badass feminist. She portrayed not only a rebel attitude but fought against patriarchal ideas that Rock and Roll was only for men. Jett lived in the 70s punk scene which coincided with the emerging masculine runway couture. I am inspired by the juxtaposition and harmony of these two concepts. In my collection I present the essence of these two movements with references to the high and low cultural shifts in womenswear. Clean lines and textural nostalgia portray the attitude of Joan Jett while paying homage to couture tailoring.
