After moving to Brooklyn for six months and not knowing anyone, it is easy for the city to feel foreign and lonely. However, in certain moments the chaos fades and for a brief moment, it feels like home. This collection captures that moment and the feelings evoked by the smell of freshly ground coffee at a favorite neighborhood cafe, or the site of a barista’s familiar face behind the counter. Pulling from the warmth and comfort of those moments, Grounded is home within the crazy city grid.
