Kari Senter: The Grand Getaway
Having grown up abroad, flying always played a major role in my life. In addition to getting me from one home to another, it was an escape from reality; above the clouds nothing below seems to matter anymore.
Appreciating how much smaller the world has become through air travel, but lamenting the glamour and elegance it’s lost over the decades led me to my concept: a projection of the golden age of flying into today.
The rules and etiquette of that era are translated as symmetrical, repetitive patterns, whereas the freedom of flight is represented through irregular, organic designs.
