Julia McNamara: The Sunshine Club

For my senior collection, I’m designing an interior collection inspired by Palm Beach in the 1960s and 70s. Inspired by the bold, eclectic patterns of The Palm Royale and iconic locations like The Breakers and The Colony Hotel, my collection will focus on a vibrant country club common space. I’ll incorporate bright floral motifs and graphic patterns using bold colors such as yellow, orange, blue, and green. Materials like jacquard weaves and knits will add texture and luxury, while a mix of large-scale florals with smaller geometric patterns will create balance. This project blends retro inspiration with modern design trends, capturing the playful sophistication of Palm Beach to life in a fresh, contemporary way.
