WhimSoul is a textile collection inspired by the magical aspects of childhood. It is inspired by the indescribable feeling of playing in the creek, reading fairy tales before bed, painting without the fear of messing up, running around barefoot. In adolescence, we are so focused on growing up that we too often abandon the things and experiences that brought us joy as a child. No matter what your childhood looked like, it is important to keep your inner child close as you age. Doing this has proven to spark creativity, foster self-awareness, encourage risk-taking, and improve self-esteem. My textile collection, WhimSoul, returns to my inner child and sets her free through textile designs that will create a safe space full of both grounded and playful colors, texture, and whimsical pattern play.
