Hailey Lilliott: Modern Mod

My inspiration for this collection came from looking at fashion photos taken during the 60’s at the height of the mod craze; The photos used in ads had to be colorized, so my collection was created using a base of black and white with the addition of the pops of color. Artworks during this era also utilized color blocking with bold outlines so I made my pieces reflect those ideas as well. I chose colors that were popular during this time period for many home appliances and other fashion trends. I am making all of the notions and jewelry for the collection similarly to the heightened demand for statement acrylic jewelry pieces during the mod movement.
