Ashton Caldwell: Sieben
My collection is based off a German Folklore I grew up hearing about seven sisters who are both swans and women. Their transformation takes place when their white feathered frocks are removed. A hunter was watching them bathe in the woods and steals the youngest sisters cloak to keep her a woman and force her into marriage. The story is both dark and romantic. I have eight looks, seven of which represent the seven sisters in their swan like state and different qualities of family. The eighth to represent the sadness of the youngest sister when she is unable to be herself.
