Casey Stein: Combat Zone
Whether big or small, war has had its impact on us personally and globally. However, with war there’s those who do not believe in what is being fought for, and from this rebellion is born. My collection explores the clash of these divergent forces by drawing inspiration from one of the most influential periods of war, rebellion, and national conflict: The Vietnam War which in turn created the Hippie Movement. I am combining these two opposing events into my collection by incorporating utilitarian with organic fabrics and colors, tied together with a sense of rebellion but also innocent elements of design.
