Sarah Major: Grid Girls

Growing up around cars, thanks to my uncle, I became interested in the energy and vibe of car culture. My goal for this collection is to open up my version of motorsports for women through fashion, reclaiming a world that’s often seen as male. I want to bring elegant simple designs for either practical wear or just to showcase an interest in cars subtly. I want this collection to feel confident, and empowering. I chose the main colors purple and black as I feel they bring an elegant, slightly feminine feel. I chose materials that are stretchy for an athletic look and satin to bring in more of a classy look. For this collection I added various unique touches to all looks such as piping, laser etching, cut outs, and beading.
