Amanda Cease: Before the Rooster Crows

Before the Rooster Crows is an original, commercial, kitchen accessory and dining room decor collection inspired by Southern living. Consisting of industry-quality fabrics and hand crafted pieces, this collection is meant to bring back personality to cherished spaces in our homes. The vibrant colors of flora and Welsummer roosters evoke feelings of joy and delight. This collection tells a story of family traditions and was roused by my faith. By using a variety of textile design techniques that I’ve learned during my time as an undergraduate student, Before the Rooster Crows displays an effective accumulation of skill and creativity. I hope that experiencing my collection will summon nostalgia and that viewers will recall a kitchen they were once welcomed into with warm, Southern hospitality
