A Labour of Love

The art of patchwork quilt-making has primarily been done by women throughout time. Many of these quilts can tell a story about the woman (or women) who created them, as well as the loved ones they created them for. Historically, art like quilting, sewing, knitting, and lace-making have been dismissed as “women’s work” and considered more of a hobby or craft than an art form. My collection, A Labour of Love, is meant to honor the women who came before me and their art in a fun and playful collection.
