FAQs
Everything you need to know about the FTD Emerging Designers Showcase
Collections developed by graduating fashion and textile design (FTD) students at NC State’s Wilson College of Textiles will make their debut this April during the FTD Emerging Designers Showcase.
Seniors spend an entire semester developing collections specific to their concentration during their capstone course. Fashion design students will send six looks down the runway in a show complete with stage lighting, a live stream and professional photography.
Textile design students will showcase their collections, ranging from textile samples to fiber art installations, in custom display booths following the fashion design show.
When is it?
Both the fashion show and textile design exhibition will take place on April 27. The fashion show is at 6 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m. The textile design gala will begin immediately following the runway show.
How much are tickets and where can I get them?

Are there discounts?
If you buy tickets before April 8, you will receive a $5 early bird discount for adult tickets and a $2 discount for children’s tickets. Discounts are mutually exclusive, so you can’t get $15 off your ticket if you’re a student who pays early.
Early bird tickets will guarantee seats closer to the stage than tickets purchased after the early bird date.
What’s the refund policy?
Tickets are nonrefundable.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Unused tickets are transferable.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
It is ok if the name on the ticket doesn’t match the attendee’s name, but a student ID must be shown to enter with a student ticket regardless of the name on the ticket.
Where is it and where do I park?
Both the fashion show and the textile design exhibit will be held at NC State’s Talley Student Union.
The fashion show and textile design gala will take place in the State Ballroom. You can find it using this map of Talley.
Multiple visitor parking lots and spaces are available within a short walk of Talley.
Where can I sit?
Seating for the fashion show is organized by section and ushers will be available on site to direct you to your section based on your ticket. Early bird tickets will guarantee seats closer to the stage than tickets purchased after the early bird date. Some sections are reserved for media and college leadership; reserved seats will be indicated with signs.
